Email Client Setup: Gmail

You can use any gmail account to connect to your mailbox via POP or IMAP, just like an email client.

How To

Using Gmail To Connect To Your Email (POP)

  1. Open up your Gmail or Google Apps account.
  2. Click Settings (gear icon, upper-right).
  3. Select the Accounts tab.
  4. Click Add a POP3 mail account you own.
  5. In the window that pops up:
    1. Type in the Email address you want to connect to.
    2. Click Next Step.
    3. Type in the Password for the email address you want to connect to.
    4. Change the POP Server to: pop.readyhosting.com.
    5. Keep Port as 110 (or update to 995 if you want to enable secure connection).
    6. Apply the other settings as desired.
    7. Click Add Account.

Using Gmail To Connect To Your Email (IMAP)

  1. Open up your Gmail or Google Apps account.
  2. Click Settings (gear icon, upper-right).
  3. Select the Accounts%%CHAR160 CHAR46%%
  4. Click Add a POP3 mail account you own.
  5. In the window that pops up:
    1. Type in the Email address you want to connect to.
    2. Click Next Step.
    3. Type in the Password for the email address you want to connect to.
    4. Change the POP Server to: imap.readyhosting.com.
    5. Change Port to 143 (or 993 if you want to enable secure connection).
    6. Apply the other settings as desired.
    7. Click Add Account.
