Together We Cope assists families in temporary crisis from Bremen, Orland, Palos and Worth townships in Chicagos southern suburbs. TWC is a homeless prevention agency, a 501c3 nonprofit that responds directly to the needs of the clients. The primary goal is to help clients return to self-sufficiency and avoid becoming homeless. The agency provides rental or mortgage assistance and foreclosure counseling, helps pay delinquent utility bills and sometimes prescription medicine costs. Improving the lives of women and children is a primary focus of TWCs efforts. TWC operates a food pantry for regular clients and for the local homeless population. TWC is a Chicago Food Depository agency, and regular food drives by local residents or organizations also keep the shelves stocked.

The Pet Project is designed to help people keep their pets by offering food to those who are struggling. The Pet Project is working to expand these services to include assistance in finding housing with a pet and basic veterinary care.
